Appointments

We operate a total triage system. This means that queries are reviewed and prioritised by the doctor before deciding what action needs to be taken next. It may be a referral or signposting to another service, a telephone call, a face to face appointment or they may be able to help you by sending information online or by text.  Receptionists can book appointments with the nurse or healthcare assistants and can help patients who are unable to submit their query online themselves.

If you have a medical or administrative query please contact the practice using our Online Consultations system. You can find the link to register or submit a query at the top of this page in the blue tile where it says ‘Online Consultations’.

Please click here to see the patients guide to video consultations

  • Please register in full. Follow the prompts to register by clicking on ‘ONLINE CONSULTATIONS’ at the top of the home page (Blue tile, top right). Here you can sign up and be ready for whenever you might need to start an online consultation.
  • Use the handy guides below to help you register and submit your query
  • We aim to deal with all queries on the day, so contact us on a day you are available. You can add comments about your availability
  • If you would like to contact a particular doctor please send your query in on a day that doctor works (usual working days can be found here)
  • Submit your query online via our website from 6am
  • You will not be able to submit a clinical query after 4pm or if the practice has reached it’s maximum capacity for the day. If you have an urgent medical emergency after 4pm or when the capacity has been reached you should contact our reception team who will be able to alert the duty doctor.
  • If you can’t submit your query online please call reception who can do this for you
  • If you need to be seen we will contact you and ask you to come in
  • Clinical queries are assessed by the duty doctor who will decide how to direct your query
  • You can submit administrative queries online at any time. Please note that these do not go to the clinical team, so please ensure you do not submit a clinical problem via the admin function
  • If you need to see a nurse or healthcare assistant you can book your appointment in advance, by booking online (currently disabled for COVID screening) or by calling reception.
  • If you have a query for the nurse which may not need an appointment you can submit your query online.

How long until I hear back?

Medical queries are reviewed by a doctor you can expect a response on the same day in most cases. Replies for administrative queries are usually within 48 hours.

Improving continuity

It is much better if your usual doctor can help you if you have an ongoing issue. They will have a better understanding of your problem and history.

If your usual doctor is on leave we will direct your query to another member of the team. If you have submitted your query on a day your usual doctor is not normally in we will ask you to resubmit it on a day when they are able to help you, so please check the list of working days before submitting your query.

Evening and weekend appointments

We have availability to see patients outside of usual practice times. When submitting a query using online consultations you can add details about your availability. If you require an appointment in the evening or on a Saturday morning please let us know.

Out of hours
